Buying an MP3 player and it’s an option I would like to have. The user manual mentions being able to leave it on “normal”, not exactly sure if that means the same as off. I am also wondering this question for Fuze+ and Clip+. Thank you. :robottongue:

I don’t know about the Fuze+, but on the Clip+ and Clip Zip and the original Fuze, the “normal” setting measn the equalizer is disabled.
Normal EQ Setting = OFF
The Clip Zip’s equalizer is completely in the digital realm. By selecting Normal, the processor leaves the output unchanged.
Oh, almost forgot. The Freescale processor in the Fuze+ uses a similar processing topology, with digital EQ, all signal processing is upstream of the (analog) output. Selecting “normal” is effectively the same as “off” for the EQ.
