Standard phones with a standard plug, albeit wired with a remote control–perhaps it’s just the remote that doesn’t work (the Clips don’t work with digital remotes)?
Update: I just tried my Clip with an Apple remote-control-wired set of phones, and while the remote doesn’t do anything, the phones play just fine.
