Hi,
I’m considering buying a Sansa Clip Zip to replace my Coby mp3 player. What I’d like to know is:
How are the files organized? Can I go to “Artists,” and be able to scroll through the artist in alphabetical order?
How many playlists can I make, either on the fly or using the computer?
Does the audio change at all (get quieter/louder) when the song changes? (aside from differences in the music being played. )
Thanks!
The manual may help you with your questions.

1. Yes. Via Artists, Albums, Genre, Songs, your Top Rated; Audiobooks, and Podcasts; plus, via Folders on the player.
2. On-the-fly, 1; via your computer, lots–I don’t know if there is a limit.
3. Nope.
Note that with the alternative Rockbox firmware, other capabilities are present; such as, if I remember correctly, song fade-in. Rockbox.org .

Item #3 isn’t really a huge deal. Are you going ahead and purchase this?

Thanks for the input. I ended up buying a Philips GoGear–I’ve had one before, so I decided to get an mp3 that I’m familiar with. I’ll keep the Sansa Clip in mind though, in case I get another one.
Thanks again!
