Battery ProblemOptions
01-17-2012 06:47 PM Hi, little warning. my English is not the best. I have the following problem: When the clipzip is after 8 -10 hours listening at 44%, the battery is empty less than an hour. not matter what firmware. Is this normal? Re: Battery ProblemOptions

Two Clip Zips (4+16GB and 8GB), e280 8GB, iPod Video 80GB <--all 4 rockboxed. iPod Mini 32GB.
Cowon X9 32+16GB, Samsung Galaxy 5.0 8+32GB, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus 16+32GB "Is man one of God's blunders? Or is God one of man's blunders?"- Friedrich Nietzsche Re: Battery ProblemOptions
01-17-2012 07:07 PM The battery indicator will go red and the player will shut off at (I believe) around 20% to prevent any damage to the battery by letting it get too low.
So if you are getting 9-11 total hours playing time, I'd say that's about normal.

Re: Battery ProblemOptions
01-18-2012 07:30 AM In some cases with some devices, it can help to reset the gauge by letting all the power discharge. Unknown, however, if this would help with the Clip Zip, as the issue--the battery gauge issue--seems to be a systemic issue with the player. |
