2000 entries limit in the database?

Is there a limit to the number of entries in the database? If so, what is the limit? What is the limit in the other Clip models?

I believe the database limit on the Zip is 8000 (combined internal and memory card), although that is not a hard and fast number. It could be less dependent on a variety of criteria.

If I recall correctly, the Clip+'s limit is 5000. The new Sport model is limited to 2000 to the internal and 2000 to the external memory card (with the latest f/w update, 4000 ea. prior), and in that model the 2 databases cannot be combined.

I wasn’t aware that there is a difference in the database limit between the Zip and the Clip+, but perhaps I’ve just forgotten–been a bunch of years.

I could be remembering incorrectly too. As you say, it’s been a while.

I could be confusing the Clip+ with the older, original Fuze. I think that one had a 5000 track limit.
