Re: Sansa Clip+ Firmware Update 01.02.18

You forgot to mention that the updater needs to be ran as administrator in the post. I tried to just use it regurlarly the 1st 2 times but it wouldnt run and it never asked for mermissions either. So I killed the process in task manager and ran it as administritor (in my windows 7 64 you do this by right click the exe and then left click run as administrator but your windows must be logged into an account that has administrator privliges). After that it worked but not everyone could have figured that out and so you really should put it somewhere where they will see it (like the download page).

Re: Sansa Clip+ Firmware Update 01.02.18

Hello to all. I have the clip+ 8gb. I´ve noticed when I use a SD card with less than 8gb, the player sometimes hangs, and the player doesn´t like the 4gb ones (hahahahahahaha). After the update (last year, approximately 10 or 11 months ago), the same thing. I´m using the 8gb sd card since then, and no problem appeared. Thanks.

Speak for yourself Smiley Frustrated.....a lot of us absolutely LOVE

And Rockbox is most likely the only way you'll get any more updates for this player. So either buy a new memory card, or get used to Rockbox.Smiley Tongue

Yes, many people have problems with Class 10 cards (and it's not only the SanDisk brand). It's the wrong card for mp3 players. You need a Class 4 (or even Class 2 is OK).

yep, now I know the difference between random and sequential access. And the card don't work on my phone too Smiley Sad

Sorry for rockbox Smiley Embarassed, when I say "we" I mean "my son and I", but it's true it's a nice project. The interface seems a bit complicated.

One little strange bug to report.  Changing the time causes the minutes to jump about 3 ahead of where you actually set them.  In case it hasn't been posted yet.

Rockbox only seems complicated before you get used to it. Once you are used to it it seems simple. I was reluctant to try Rockbox for a long time, but hated the firmware in the Clip Zip so much that I forced myself to get used to Rockbox. Now it is on my Clip+, Clip Zip and Fuze players.
