why does it seem so difficult to find the software for this to download. it’s fully charged and doing nothing. except going back to where i bought it today, at the moment.
Perhaps because, unlike iPods and many other players, _ there is no software to download _. Simply copy and paste to the player, just like on your computer, the files you want to place on it. The files can be placed anywhere, but you should find handy Music, Podcasts, and Audiobooks folders on the player already created for you to use, which subsequently can enhance your use.
No special software to learn, to hog your computer’s resources, or to get glitched up.
Easy as 1-2-3. :)

Also, you may want to update the firmware on your player–basically, its operating system–to the most recent, just as you would do on your computer. See the firmware sticky thread up above for your player. It can be done automatically, by installing a small software program on your computer (many of us avoid this, as it just sits on your computer, constantly using computer resources, even if small), or you can update the firmware manually, very easy to do.
