Howto write protect mp3 files

I need to write protect files on a clip+ so that they cannot be deleted by another user.

Is this possible?

FAT32 provides for a read-only and no-delete but the sansa clip+ firmware doesn’t seem to honor these flags. I can set them in windows/linux and then the player just ignores them and allows the files to be deleted via the UI.

Thanks,

Perazim

I don’t know of a way to do this.

Make backup copies of your music. Perhaps you should buy the other user his(or her) own player?

There is no way to make files undeletable. Even when files are set as read only on your pc, the read only designation can be easily changed. On the player especially, there is no way to protect them.
