How many songs do you have? You may have reached the limit of the database–the index built from tags like Album, Artist, Genre.
The Clip+ firmware was built before the giant microSD cards were on the market and the index/database–which is basically a text file–has a limit on the number of characters.
Can you see what you’ve recently added if you look through Album or Artist?
Or just scroll through something like Album or Artist and see if you get to the end of the alphabet.
If not you are at the database limit.
