M4V video file wont play from ixpand on iPad mini

I copied a m4v video file from my itunes library movie folder on my PC to my new sandisk ixpand video folder.

I plugged the ixpand into my ipad mini IOS v8.2, downloaded and installed the sandisk app.

I am able to see the m4v file, when I tap on it nothing happens. (It does not have the play arrow in the file)

I am able ro select and play the sample video provided by sandisk.

Any suggestions are appreciated

is the file DRM protected? Was this video downloaded from iTunes? If so it is DRM and not supported by the iXpand Sync app.

Thanks dr lucky for your response. The file was downloaded from iTunes. That was the point of getting the Sandisk ixpand
