From what I can gather the iPad 2 connects via the old 30-pin connector port. The iExpand flash drive uses the newer lightning connector, so you would need a 30- pin to lightning adaptor in order to use it. I beleive Apple makes such an adaptor. There are some listed on Amazon, but I’d be careful; a lot of non-Apple cables don’t work with reliablilty.
