Aspire One new installation

I am trying to install a new 256 Ultra Plus in an OLD Acer.  I formatted the drive, removed the old drive and inserted the new one, but it will not let me install my windows SP or 7.  The error I have for Win 7 is “Windows cannot install required files.  The file may be corrupt or missing.  Make sure all files required for installation are available and restart the installation.  Error code 0x80070017”

For XP, the error code is 0x0000007b,0xc0000034,0x000000000, 0x00000000

I am using CD for windows, an Acer Aspire One D150. 

Any ideas??

That is commonly down to bad memory.  We had a Dell machine here that worked perfectly but came up with that error when installing 7.  I swapped the memory out and it was fine.  I then put it back and we havnt had an issue.  The SSD might not be the problem.
