Password won't work on a new SanDisk Extreme.

On a new SanKisk Extreme USB 3.0 Flash Drive I entered my password…twice and added a hint.  I then immediately wrote it down.  Now the password will not work and I’ve tried multiple combinations to no avail.  The password is (different before “@”):

password1234@SanDisk.  What do I do now?

if you forgot the password there is nothing much you can do. If you have any other errormessage with the software then i would suggest providing pictures so we can look into it
