X110 dropping off SATA bus

A drive which drops offline for no apparent reason isn’t fit for purpose. This is a home system and not under high load and there are any number of reasons why I or anyonr else may choose to leave _my_ computer running 24*7

Your advice is reminiscent of the bad old days of the IBM Deathstars - a drive which damaged IBM’s reputation so badly they exited the business - and it was only when Hitachi inherited the firmware that they discovered they had a 49-day bug in the firmware.

A computer is not a toy. Turning it off and back on again is never the correct solution, it’s a last resort, despite what a certain toy company in Redmond may have conditioned people into believing.

If this is the Official Sandisk response then I’ll forward it to tech media for commentary.
