"Installation Failed, Please Try Again Later" on 1.4.2 install

Got notified of an update, did the download and get this message every time it tries to install. I’ve deleted temp files, removed Sandisk stuff from registry, trying to install as administrator, NOTHING will let this install. 1.4.1 was working perfectly but I can’t even find it to download anymore. Help?

I have a copy of 1.4.1 in my downloads folder (this still installs and works)

Try the update I get the same error :frowning:

Gotta be a problem with the file they put out. Perhaps they’ll discover this and correct it.

Ive used the update feature with 1.4.1, and manualy downloaded 1.4.2 from sandisk http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/15108/

Lets hope they do find - or help us fix it!

Just to chuck in my experience, I’ve got the exact same problem. I’ve gone through the same motions as you guys (though I don’t have the previous installer to fall back on) and get the same error.

Same issue here on my desktop,But it installed on my laptop.

I just don’t get it,And I reinstalled ver.1.4.1 on the desktop and that works fine.

What OS are you running?

Both my computers are on Windows 10 Home

Same here, Windows 10 Home on both Desktop and Laptop PC’s.  Desktop updated OK, Laptop fails…  Re-installing 1.4.1 on Laptop works.

Same problem on Windows 10 Pro on Dell 7000 series laptop.  Where can I find 1.4.1?

you can find v1.4.1 here:

Please download and install version 1.4.2  (updated) again. Let me know if the installation is working now.

Thanks

Still not properly installing.

Windows 10 Pro 64 in Spanish fails instalation too.

Is there any remains of the prior version we have to manually delete because of this failure? Is there ane register entries in the system? How to make a clean install (when a correct version is published of course)?

Regards.

Sandisk should have never realeased the new Dashboard version 1.4.2 until it was tested, 5 day and as many attempts to download all has failed,  and on each dailed installation the original 1.4.1 dashboard is deleted, and equires to be reinstalled. SanDisk should able to able to provide a product that is not defective.

I got Ver.1.4.1 at major geeks.

1.4.1 install ok with these files and folders

1.4.1.PNG

Then do the update to 1.4.2

Please uninstall your current version and make sure the SanDisk folder under “Program Files” or “Program Files (x86)” is clean.

When installing version 1.4.2, make sure the file “SanDiskSSDDashboardServiceSetup.msi” is present in the SSD Dashboard folder and that looking at the properties, the digital signature is from SanDisk and valid. Somehow that disgital signature was incorrect with the previous installer. Please report any issues regarding this, for example if you see an invalid digital signature. Thanks

I don’t know why my link to v1.4.1 was removed. It wasn’t a “File sharing” site, it’s the site of a german PC magazine.

With the instructions of @georgealon and a new download, it finaly installs ok now.
