I have just installed a Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB in my old desktop machine running Vista Business 32bit (all updates installed) with an Asus M2N-MX SE motherboard (specifications here). Downloaded and installed the latest Sandisk dashboard, but when I open it most of the options are greyed out. I am only able to view the information option. My main reason for using this utility is that my understanding is that Vista does not support TRIM and that I would have to trim manually using the Sandisk Dashboard regularly. Only none of the options seem to be available.
I also have a secondary mechanical drive with 2 partitions on the same SATA controller.
Is there any way of getting this utility to work? Or alternatively, is there any other way to trim my new ssd?
