MacBook Pro Late 2011

I work in the media business — Video, Graphics, Motion Graphics

I need to upgrade my hard drive. I have a MacBook Pro, Late 2011

OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan

Intel Core i7, 2.3 GHz, 1 processor with 4 cores

Hard Drive SATA Hitachi

Intel 6 Series Chipset

Thunderbolt AHCI Controller

AHCI Version 1.30 Supported

16GB Memory, DDR2, 1333 MHz

AMD Radeon HD 6750M

Intel HD Graphics 3000

1 partition

I’d like to move to a 900GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD. Will it be compatible?

Any recommendations on cloning my current HD — something basic, simple.

TIA

Leslie

You have the Intel 6 SATA chipset so the extreme SSD is compatible.

Cloning the disk in mac is easy using disk utility. here is a video from OCZ that shows the process.

drlucky,

I have an early 2011 17" MacBook Pro. Will the Sandisk Extreme Pro SSd work with it? I also have the Intel 6 Series Chipset.

Thanks!
