Correction: Since, “Folder > … > Podcasts”
does show the correct names of all downloaded folders,
it appears, instead, that this issue can be better addressed
by comparing the FW 1.29 computer code for “Folder > … > Podcasts”
with the FW 1.29 computer code for “Books > Podcasts” to discover
which part of the FW 1.29 computer code for “Books > Podcasts”
needs correcting so that “Books > Podcasts” can, also,
display the actual names of each downloaded folder
as “Folder > … > Podcasts” already does!

I am unable to assist SanDisk FW computer code programmers in
performing their software quality assurance responsibilities.

“Books > Podcasts”: Broken in FW 1.27 and 1.29 …

  • Downloaded folder names are not recognized. “Unknown Album”.
  • When more than one such downloaded folder exists,
contents of all such folders are merged into one folder
    with the unrecognized name indication.

“Folder > … > Podcasts” does show the correct names
of downloaded folders and
keeps the contents correctly segregated.

Wow.That is quite a complicated story.  Here are a few questions and suggestions.

  1. What software are you using to copy the audio files to your Clip Sport?

  2. Maybe try playing your files using FOLDER MODE. Then do you see the different Podcast files?

(Make sure the first 12 characters of the FileNames include sufficient unique information)

  1. You may consider editing the ID3 tags of your audio files to replace “Unknown Album” with your desired Podcast names.

(Make sure the first 12 characters of these names include sufficient unique information)
