The folder view is an option but unfortunately it lacks some functionality compared to the database view. If your music collections exceeds 2000 objects and you want to have a lot of files on the player, then I agree with Saratoga: The Clip Sport is not the best choice.
The Clip Sport is what it is but has some advantages: Better battery life, bigger screen and big buttons (=easy to skip tracks when it’s attached to your clothes). Personally I use it a lot in the gym and while running and I think it works quite well with those type of activities.
If you want a full-fledged music player take a look at Sandisk Sansa Clip+ or Sandisk Sansa Clip Zip instead. Those are great little players, especially with Rockbox installed.
