Clip Jam files not in alphabetical order

I'm having trouble with my Clip Jam.  It seems a little different than some of the other threads posted on incorrect track orders.  When I look at the folders on my laptop, with the Clip Jam plugged in to get files andwhatnot, it shows files in alphabetical order.  This is how I prefer it.  But on the Clip Jam itself, when it's plugged in to my car, it lists and plays files based on the order it was uploaded into the Clip Jam.  So new music placed into one of my folders within the Music folder is in the order that I upload it.  When I go back and look at the folders in my laptop, everything is in alphabetical order.

For instance, this is how I want to to be in order:

V (uploaded 1-2-16)

W (uploaded 1-2-16)

X (uploaded 1-1-16)

Y (uploaded 1-17-16)

Z (uploaded 1-10-16)

Instead, I get it like this:

X (uploaded 1-1-16)

V (uploaded 1-2-16)

W (uploaded 1-2-16)

Z (uploaded 1-10-16)

Y (uploaded 1-17-16)

Where can I change this?

Re: Clip Jam files not in alphabetical order

if you are accessing the files from the folders menu option this is the way the clip sport and jam work. If you want the files to show up alphabetically all the files need to be copied at the same time. If new files are added they are added at the end of the list. This cannot be changed.

If the files are tagged correctly you can use Album, artist, song etc to sort the files as well.

To resolve these file sorting problems using FOLDER MODE on the Clip Jam (and Clip Sport), take a look at this web-page.

Hello having similar issue, but it's the folders the files are in. Can FatSort arrange the folders as well?

Yes. Take a look at "FAT Sorter" software for Windows at this web-link.

I have not been able to find a comparable software for MAC computers.
