Probably going to have to uninstall SP1, Microsoft must have messed up the drivers for the memory card (there are no drivers for the adapter, it has no electronics in it). ![]() Posts: 0

07-19-2008 01:07 AM Pc-Card works on my computer with Vista SP1 but it terribly slows down the whole system when reading/wrinting to the card. Very strange behaviour... Has anyone an idea ?

16-bit PCMCIA devices are very slow, which is why they have been phased out. Nothing you can do about it. When I am transferring using my 4GB CF card, my whole computer becomes very slow, too. I just usually start the transfer and then walk away and do something else. Or use my USB reader when I can.
