data recovery, faulty controller

Hello, I really need some help recovering data from my microSD card.

It has hundreds of holiday photos on and then it stopped being recognized in my phone. I really want to recover the pics so I took it to a local PC store who assessed it and said that it had a faulty controller, so there was nothing that they - or anyone else - could do.

Is this correct or do I still have a chance to recover the data??

Did you try to connect the micro SD card to computer with card reader?

Re: data recovery, faulty controller

I did. I tried it on my PC and laptop, and tried 2 different SD adapters with each, just in case, and it wasn't recognized by either.
It's definitely faulty, and apparently it's the controller that is failing, so I just want to know if there's any chance of recovering my photos??
