SDSDU-032G-U46 vs -A46 difference?

What is the difference between SDSDU-032G-A46 and SDSDU-032G-U46?

Is there a differenet Bus width or something?

the last part is related to the packaging. the card is the same.

There has to be some other difference.  one has a silver sticker, the other is Red/Gray.  The device I put the -A46 in misbehaves.  I have 30 of the -A46 that act this way.  The -U46 works everytime, and have been using those for the last 4 years.

What benifit would there be to have (2) different packagings with different part numbers for the same item?  There has to be a differenece.

 Hi Ultrax,

Dear member of SanDisk Community, welcome.

Really, it’s a very specific issue, of internal marketing, of the company.

Then friend, for more certainty, also you can send the question to the Support Team: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/ask/

Luck, and then you tell us, what happened, please.

Regards, Alfred.                                                            (Google translated)

it is the languages on the packaging.

as for the cards the specs are the same but in retail products there is no guarantee the internal parts of the card will be the same. if BOM control is something you are looking for you should look at the OEM line of products.

The last three digits in the SKU are the packaging code. This defines what languages, warranty periods, etc will be printed on the packaging since these things are different for all regions.

Retail cards do not have BOM control so even though the cards would have the same spec the internal parts may be different. This could happen even if the part number is exactly the same including the packaging extension. If you are looking for parts with BOM control we would recommend looking into our OEM line of products.
