Micro Sd card only has half stated capacity!

Hi,

I’ve just discovered the reason my 32gb micro sd card won’t take any more songs is that it is unexpectly full.

I did a complete overwrite format using  SD formatter (nothing else would work) and then clicked on properties, and it says capacity: 14.7 gb!

Now I know that a 16gb card doesn’t really have quite 16 gb of memory, but on that logic this 32gb card should have about 29 Gb free.

I’ve just bought a new Sansa clip and am really unhappy that it will have this limit on its capacity. :angry:

Did you buy it from an authorized SanDisk dealer? Are you sure it’s not a counterfeit card? 14.7GB is about the available space on a 16GB card.
