Repairing Corrupted MicroSD Card

I have a 1GB microSD card for Nokia Express Music 5610. Recently, the phone failed to recognise the memory card and i tried to plug it in using an external card reader, the computer said the device not ready. I tried reformatting but it said Please insert disk.

I think it's corrupted. However, is there anyway to fix it without buying a new one? how can i be sure the memory card is really corrupted? or maybe there's an app somewhere outside that can fix this memory somehow?

Please help, thanks

Re: Repairing Corrupted MicroSD Card

if the card is showing no disk then it is dead and will need to be replaced. if it is still under warranty contact sandisk support for replacement.
