SD is 16 gb ,but only show 14gb

just brought SD card 16gb class 10 but only show 14gb is there somthing I'm suppose to do?

I had also bought a 2 GB SD kort where it only shows 512 MB - I think it's a very normal fault on memory cards... But I'm not sure...
