how do i access the card to record on it? Clicking on the second removeable image says the connection is corrupt or unreadable. What do i do? Manual says i need permission but doesn’t explain what that is. I am the only user of this computer.
Could the card be in wrong? Seems to go in only one way. Please help?

On what player? And you may need to reformat your card to fix some issue.

I don’t know of any Sandisk players that let you record on card memory. In general Sandisk players don’t work so well as recorders. If the player isn’t close to the speaker’s mouth, the recording is likely to be noisy.
If you are serious about recording, then get a digital recorder. Those will have much better mic(s), much better features for recording, a selection of bitrates you can record at, and most have a microphone jack to connect an external mic. Some have a card slot and allow you to record on card memory.
