I’m sitting at work and am using work’s AAA batteries so I can get a little music in my cubicle on the radio. Is it possible to use the tuner or even play music when the C140 is plugged right into the computer via the USB cable? That would certainly save batteries. 
Nope, when the C140 is connected to a computer it is automatically ready for syncing and charging. It will not work UNLESS you buy a wall charger for the Sansa.
