That was my solution for years and agree.
But the problem is a cheaper tensile strength was used on the wire ring and it come off. The design does not accept a standard ring size. I’ll look for an old flash disk and replace it. I hear others with the same problem and as a software developer thought it may be easier to have a software solution to remind us. Some feel the keys could damage the disk but I have not had any problems yet. Maybe this is a note for Sandisk for them to improve quality of the ring and let it be known the disk can be carried with keys without damage to the disk.
Still forgetful but never without my keys.
