Hi, I am in need of assisstance like badly I am trying to reformat my hard drive because their are problems that are not fixable but if I were to reformat my hard drive I would have to be able to reinstall Windows 7. I can not reinstall Windows 7 if the USB/DL Tool can not see it to copy the files onto it… Please help
It sounds like you have a USB drive that is configured as Fixed rather than Removable. You will have to return it to change it.
You might consider writing to Microsoft about this also. They are the ones pushing the Fixed option for Windows 8 on the Go.
