Sandisk Extreme 3 Showing 0 Bytes

Hello,

I have a brand new USB 3.0 drive. I did plug it in and verify it is working but then all of a sudden I cannot access it. Windows has assigned it a drive letter but when I try to open it  crashes explorer.  I have tried diskpart and it does show up as having 0 bytes. I have tried cleaning and formatting with no success. I get an error that says “no media”.  I have tried it in different PC’s with the same result. There is no data on it so no need for recovery. I just need to make it usable. Any ideas? Thanks.

It sounds broken.  Return it for a free replacement.

Basically, you’ve done everything there is to do. Is this still under warranty by the way?

Given that the OP said it was brand new , this is an awfully silly (and un-necessary) question. :confounded:
