SanDisk Ultra 32GB

My USB stick was placed next to bucky balls, highly magnetic.   Now the USB is a brick…

What can I do to get it useable?

There is no format option in Win 7.

I have tried DiskPart, cannot create a primary partition.

DISKPART> detail disk

!! Really!!  When I right click on a drive/volume I see Format in my list of options.  Or are you referring to just the SanDisk drive?

What shows in Disk Management when the drive is plugged in?  Interesting that DISKPART knows it’s a SanDisk device.  What error msg does it give when you use it to create a partition on the drive?

When I right click on it via disk manager, there is not option to format… actually, i dont even get a right click menu

Disk manager shows  it as G:  but there are no partitions or anything just blank

We cross posted, sorry.

I believe it was not enough space…  and clean was … something about nothing was present, and that there might be something created with MBR…

But the store I bought it from exchanged it… so I no longer have it…

Thank you for your help…  I was not expecting an exchange to be approved…
