Extreme USB 3.0 64 GB

1-) when attached , product is not recognized by windows automatically,

2-) when device manager listed, it is an unrecognized USB mass storage device.

3-) after uninstalling and reinstalling it as a USB mass storage device , Found New drive and it is ready for use.

4-) when disk management listed , it is there as Disk 2 ,removable (x) with  no media.

5-) Right click and check properties: Scan Disk Extreme USB Device , “This device is working properly” in General Tab.

6-) under Volume tab : type removable, status : No Media, Partition style: Not Applicable. Capacity : 0 MB.

     Unallocated space : 0 MB, Reserved Space : 0 MB.

7-) There is NO option to proceed any further, either to partition or to format or any other action…therefore NOT recognized by the System,  and…

8-) Sandisk, offers to replace it with a new one. Most probably they will. But my question will still be  valid for the new one too.

9-) How to restructure The MBR, and Format the device so that we could continue to our work,  after the guarantee period ?

The USB uses the Windows drivers to read it. Make sure that you have the latest windows updates on.

Make sure that you have the latest windows updates on

Really.  Have you read what causes this problem to others?

@ngnty

And make sure you don’t have a Kies app running.

"How to restructure The MBR, and Format the device so that we could continue to our work,  after the guarantee period ?"
