Extreme 3.0 not recognized in 2.0 port

Motherboard: Asus p8z680deluxe

Flash: Sandisk Extreme 64GB USB 3.0

Got 4 USB 3.0 ports. on back(intel) and in front (asus fron panel).

A few days ago was no longer found in the usb 2.0 ports, i try inserted into different PC.

Led light is on, but no other life in Win7

Only recognized in front ASUS panel.

When i insert it on the back of MB in USB 3.0 (intel) she not works.

I try format in different formats. I do full fragmentation in different programs. stil works only in “ASUS front panel USB 3.0 BOX”

Maybe backward compatibility chip is broken?

She was bootable for DOS, but works fine half of year

   Hi ANG3L,

Dear member of SanDisk Community, welcome.

Friend, thanks for the photo, is very beautiful and instructive.

Please:

Inspect with a magnifying glass and a flashlight, the USB 3.0 plug of the UFD, and clean the pins,

with wire or eyebrow tweezers, etc., and with isopropyl alcohol (or also medicinal).
Also try, with a can of “compressed air” and a paintbrush, etc.

Check that the pins (Standard has 9 pins, 7 for USB 3.0 + 2 for USB 2.0), are not dirty, bent or broken,

or simply not fit as it corresponds.

If the above steps have not solved the problem please, contact SanDisk Technical Support

who will replace the device _ if it’s authentic _ and is within warranty.

Hello,

I would suggest to try with another pc that has USB 3.0 Ports to see if the drive works there and if another USB drive works on these usb 3.0 ports. If only the drive is not detected by any USB 3.0 port then it seems that the Hardware is defective and needs to be replaced.

Good Luck
