64 bit extreme 3.0 flash drive storage issue

Hi, All

Brand new here.

I just purchased the Extreme USB 3.0 64 gb flash drive.

The capacity amount is only 58 gb.

6 gb are missing. That’s a LOT of space!

Would appreciate finding out what is going on so I may return it quickly if I need to do so.

That is perfectly normal. BIOS will read it as 64GB but windows will show less. If you will check every brand of extrnal drives, it would show less than advertise.

Just thought that was a lot not to be showing.

As long as the 6 gb are still there and usable I’m good with it.
