Win7 Restore Points corrupt after running TRIM

Hello,

System is a Toshiiba Satellite A660D - ST2NX2  notebook running Windows 7 Pro.

After installing a new Sandisk Extreme II SSD 240GB along with the Sandisk SSD

Dashboard,

when I run the TRIM feature from Dashboard, all avaiable System Restore Points are

corrupted.

The following error messages are displayed before SR attemps to restore the system.

SYSTEM RESTORE DID NOT COMPLETE SUCCESSFULLY. YOUR COMPUTER’S SYSTEM FILES

AND SETTINGS WHERE NOT CHANGED.
DETAILS: THE DATA IS INVALID (0X8007000D)

SYSTEM RESTORE
THERE WAS AN UNEXPECTED ERROR:
CATASTROPHIC FAILURE (0X8000FFFF)
PLEASE CLOSE SYSTEM RESTORE AND TRY AGAIN

What I have tried so far (more than once)  is to delete all restore points, then

create three new resote points.

All three restore points function normaly. Then when TRIM is run from the Dashboard,

all three restore points become corrupt and the error messages above are displayed.

Do you have any suggestions on how to prevent these corrupt restore points?

Regards,

Bert

Hello Bertk,

Thanks for the issue report. I have passed the information along to the Dashboard team and we have been able to reproduce the issue you are seeing. We are looking into root cause now and will release a fix in an upcoming release.
