Sandisk Extreme 128GB USB Drive life remaining 0%

Hello guys,

Just got the Extreme 128GB USB 3.0 home and checked the S.M.A.R.T data right away, something which i do with every hard drive and ssd’s when new.

I found out that Spare Blocks Remaining on HDSentinel is 0% and so does Crystal Disk Info say that.

How in the world does that happen when it’s new ? My guess it’s a big firmware bug, because HDSentinel pops up with a S.M.A.R.T error in the taskbar.

The other 32GB version never showed this error. I lost it somewhere, but it worked great as always. Nothing wrong with Sandisk. My laptop has a M.2 ssd so yeh.

Small update: The stick is now producing bad sectors, Erase fail counts.

I will be sending it back to the shop tomorrow.
