This is all depends on your needs, if you need this drive for small files and you have both MAC and Windows machines, FAT32 is the best option (however EXFAT is also compatible as well, but to lesser degree).

However, if you have video files above 4GB (4K video for movies), you can not do anything with FAT32, it is useless for you. EXFAT is faster than NTFS, but NTFS is compatible with many USB streaming hardware.

In my case, I have Over the Air converter box with USB playback function, EXFAT is not compatible, but NTFS is compatible. I seen one 4K movie at around 30GB, any comments here?
