"Installation Failed, Please Try Again Later" on 1.4.2 install

Didn’t work for me,Fix your software installation or don’t release anymore updates.

Pretty pissed about this.

Make sure you remove your current SanDiskSSDDashboardSetup.exe file and download the new one.

Did you check what I asked about the digital signature of the msi file?

Yes I did,Even checked in appdata and deleted the one in C:\program files (x86) and still won’t install.

Do you see an msi file? right click and open properties, check digital signature? please give more details. The new installer that was posted seems to solve the installation of a majority of people. sometimes the file is cached and even downloading a new one does not work. where is your file being downloaded?

No MSI file for me, fresh download. MD5 is e4adaa96bfa36165007fa4d1dc0f27d1. Cleared out everything as requested.

If you don’t see any msi file in the SDD Dashboard folder, it means that you are using the older installer. Maybe the server you are connecting too was not propagated yet. Can you try to download the file on a different PC? Or wait few hours and try again. You may want to restart your PC as well and delete all Dashboard setup files from your PC. Reset the cache as well.

I tried off three servers and my laptop. I’ll try later, must be cached on the CDNs?

Can you verify the MD5 or SHA1?

This is the wrong MD5

Yup - the instructions to completely remove all traces of 1.4.1 before installing 1.4.2 seem to work. Thanks!

Like wojo,no msi file.

I’ve cleared everything in Windows 10 Disk Cleanup and downloaded from Laptop wifi, and even on my tablets 4g on tried them and no go.

I get the same error.

Only files show up in c:\Program Files (x86) after installation failure are installDBService and the SanDiskSSDDashboardSetup.exe files.

@georgealon

Can you provide the link to the latest verson?

Thanks

I’m trying to install the Dashboard on my Windows 10 64 Home edition laptop. I’ve followed georgealon’s instuctions, but there is no MSI file.

Sandisk please help.

Try downloading from the following url:

http://downloads.sandisk.com/Dashboard/v1_4_2/SanDiskSSDDashboardSetup.exe

No go on that. Same MD5, too.

No go either. Tried the link and no msi file just an exe inside the folder.

Would it be posible to use the a copy of SanDiskSSDDashboardSetup.exe file that is in my laptop program files to try to install on my desktop computer?

And or use a copy of the msi. files too?

Hello all,

Same problem here w/ Win 10 64bit. installation fails for 1.4.2. Tried deleting exe. file as mentioned above then all files to no avail

  Sandisk SS prob.PNG

If the installation fails, it will remove all the files in SSD Dashboard folder. Try to copy the msi file before it is deleted and check the digital signature.

Also, you can copy the setup from from a different PC and try the installation. It is just the same.

If all of this doesn’t work, who would be able to help debuging the issue? It would involve installing DebugView from Microsoft.

Thanks

Same here Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

installDBService
