e280 v2 won't connect to my Mac [ Edited ]

I just got an e280 v2 and tried connecting it to my Mac, using the hold button and the back button method. That didn't work. I upgraded the firmware to 3.01.14 which has the USB mode in the settings. I set it on the MSC mode and it still wouldn't connect to my Mac. I have an e280 v1, which I am able to connect to my Mac and it works just fine.

My Mac is a Powerbook G4 1.5 Ghz 12" OS 10.4.11. Has anyone been able to connect their v2 to their Mac using the latest firmware update 3.01.14? I'd appreciate any suggestions that anyone has. I really love my sansa e280 v1 and I'd love to be able to make my v2 works with my Mac also, I really would hate to return it.
